About me :: Anthony D'Angio

"I can look at a fine art photograph and sometimes I can hear music." - Ansel Adams

One of my biggest motivations is the great Herman Leonard who used his passion for photography from an early age to open many doors for him personally. What is even more inspirational about what he has achieved is that he has been fortunate (and talented) enough to combine his two loves, photography and jazz, to create some truly magical works of art.

This is what I strive to achieve.

Seeing the world from behind the lens gives you an overwhelming sense of power and humility. Power to be able to capture a feeling and embed it forever, and humility to realise that there is so much more that is unseen.

With a diverse portfolio of landscape, urban, portraiture, glamour, abstract and nature photographs, I have now found my niche. My passion for both photography and music has given me the brief opportunity to capture some incredible performances and I am not stopping here.

Combining my extensive background in design and multimedia allows my skills to progress into post-production, where my image correction and manipulation skills have proven beneficial in the digital age, to my love for combining creativity with photography - putting together some very cutting edge imagery.

The essence of a live performance is not about portraiture so much as the energy and emotion that needs to breathe life into the final work. This is the fundamental concept behind my concert photographs.
